Nitric Oxide Regulates Mitochondrial Fatty Acids and Promotes CBF Expression of Peach Fruit during Cold Storage

چکیده
Low-temperature storage is convenient for postharvest preservation of peach fruit, but fruit sensitive to cold damage, which lowers its quality. Nitric oxide (NO) has the potential improve bitter resistance fruit. In this work, was treated with 15 ?mol L?1 NO and 5 c-PTIO [2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxo-3-oxide], study changes in mitochondrial fatty acids expression C-repeat binding factor (CBF). The results showed that exogenous significantly maintained quality, reduced peroxidation acids, increased activities antioxidants superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), ascorbic acid (APX), content hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Meanwhile, treatment suppressed increase browning index ion leakage rate, activity S-nitrosoglutathione reductase (GSNOR), contents S-nitrosothiols (SNOs), ratios NAD+/NADH NADP+/NADPH, levels PpCBF1/5/6. However, PpCBF2/3/4 were not regulated by NO. Peaches opposite effects those These suggest can antioxidant capacity, preserve upregulate PpCBF1/5/6 alleviate tolerance maintain quality during storage.

Effect of nitric oxide on biochemical and antioxidant properties of pomegranate fruit cv. Shishe-kab during cold storage
Pomegranate is a subtropical fruit that is widely consumed as fresh fruit and juice, however, its postharvest life is limited mainly due to storage disorders. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of nitric oxide (NO) on antioxidant activity and quality attributes of pomegranate fruit. The fruits were dipped for two minutes into different NO concentrations (0, 30, 100, 300 or 1000 µ...
متن کاملEffect of postharvest oxalic acid treatment on ethylene production, quality parameters, and antioxidant potential of peach fruit during cold storage.
The effects of postharvest oxalic acid (OA) treatment on ethylene production, fruit quality, bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity of peach fruit, were examined. Fruits were treated with oxalic acid immediately after harvest and stored at 1° C and 90% relative humidity for 28 days. The oxalic acid treated peach fruit exhibited significantly lower levels of ethylene production, pH, total ...
متن کاملEffect of calcium chloride treatment on post harvest quality of peach fruit during cold storage
This study was carried out on the effectiveness of calcium chloride (CaCl2) treatments on the post harvest quality of peach fruits during cold storage at 10oC and 75 ± 5% RH. Different solutions of CaCl2 such as 1% (T1), 2% (T2) and 3% (T3) were prepared and the fruits were dipped for five minutes, while (To) was left with out calcium chloride treatment as control. The fruits were packed in cor...
متن کاملModulation of mitochondrial nitric oxide synthase and energy expenditure in rats during cold acclimation.
To preserve thermoneutrality, cold exposure is followed by changes in energy expenditure and basal metabolic rate (BMR). Because nitric oxide (NO) modulates mitochondrial O(2) uptake and energy levels, we analyzed cold effects (30 days at 4 degrees C) on rat liver and skeletal muscle mitochondrial NO synthases (mtNOS) and their putative impact on BMR. Cold exposure delimited two periods: A (day...
متن کاملEffect of post-harvest salicylic acid treatments on fruit quality of peach cv. "Flordaprince" during cold storage
Peach [Prunus persica (L.) Bastch.] "cv. Flordaprince" fruits at commercial maturity were immersed in 0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mM salicylic acid (SA) solution for 10 min, stored at 0 ◦ C for 28 days, then moved to 20 ◦C for 3 days to simulate shelf life. Fruit weight losses, firmness, TSS, acidity, Vit.C, sugars, anthocyanin, total phenols and two enzymes namely peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase act...
